The Held Space
Following feedback from in-person and online cohorts, alumni of the programme can now be part of an ongoing accountability and writing development programme - The Held Space.

The Held Space will build on The New Mothers' Writing Circle's core 8-week programme.
This membership offer is for those who wish to continue to develop their writing practice within a community of mothers. A chance, each week, to write together in a non-judgemental, non-advice-giving, experimental and anti-perfectionist space.

Led by Founder & Director Catrin Kemp, and drawing on new books not featured within the 8-week programme, this community will -

-
Give you 90 minutes of boundaried time each week to write; Wednesdays 10am - 11.30am
Encourage you to submit your writing to zines, competitions and publications. -
Open calls, submission windows etc.
-
Provide you with excerpts from books across the canon of motherhood, pushing further into anti-racist books and those brought to the group by its members.
-
Space to show up as you are, each week, and write whatever the conditions.
-
Build confidence by sharing your writing each month at a digital open mic night
-
Provide space to publish your #shittyfirstdrafts and better-second-drafts in a closed Facebook Community

The cost is £120 per month. You will need a Facebook account and access to Zoom.
