Frequently Asked Questions
What will we do during the workshops?
The workshops will be very relaxed and informal - our babies will make sure of that! The sessions will be led by author and editor Genevieve Herr, who has 2 children and wrote her debut novel while on maternity leave with her second baby. Everyone will be provided with pens and a notebook; Gen will provide writing prompts, share writings on motherhood and sometimes show clips from film and TV.
Who are the workshops aimed at?
The workshops are aimed at mothers with a baby 9 months or under who is interested in any aspect of creative writing or exploring their new role as a mother.
Where will the workshops take place?
The workshops will take place in the hall at Kelvinside Hillhead Parish Church, Saltoun St, G12 9AR.
I hate reading out loud! Will I have to?
Don't worry, no one will have to read anything out loud or share any of their writing unless they want to. At the end of the project some of the writings will be shared on this website but only by those who want to.
